This is very frustrating and waste of time,Cisco direct me to download page with my name and information then when I wanted to download Anyconnect for MAC or Windows, it keep sending me to profile page, I KEEP updating and Nothing happen, this is so much waste of time to set VPN via Cisco. Even Cisco’s new Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol AnyConnect is supported by Shimo – the most flexible VPN client for Mac. Shimo also enables you to establish encrypted Secure Shell (SSH) connections including port forwarding for secure web browsing. There is no other VPN client for Mac which supports this variety of available protocols. Mac OS X 10.9 and later. iOS 10 or later; Android OS 6.0 or later.Note for Mac High Sierra (10.13): When you log in to the Cisco AnyConnect VPN, you may be prompted to upgrade to a new version of software.
As an alternative to downloading the Cisco VPN client for Mac OS X, you can also use the built in IPSec version found on your machine. This might be more convenient for those who wish to avoid installing additional software.
You will need an ANL Domain Account in order to access the VPN.
1. Head over to your System Preferences and to the Network Settings.System Preferences > Network
2. Add a New interface.
3. Input the following settings:Interface: VPNVPN Type: Cisco IPSecService Name: This can be anything, I left the default.
4. Edit the new interface details as follows:Server Address: vpn.anl.govAccount Name: This is your ANL Domain Username.Password: Leave this blank, it will prompt you later when connecting.
5. Click on the Authentication Settings... button as shown above.Both the Shared Secret and Group Name should be entered as: ipsec
Hit OK and now you should be able to press Connect. This will prompt you for your password and after a successful authentication, you will now be connected to the ANL VPN.

Starting with Mac OS X 10.6, it is now possible to connect to a Cisco IPSec VPN without having to download any extra software.Main Set Up Steps
Before you begin please have your VPN IP address, your username, password, shared secret, certificate, and/or group name ready. If you do not have this information please contact support using the options at the bottom of this page.
Open System Preferences and click on the Network icon:Cisco Vpn For Mac Download
On the Network screen, click on the + symbol in the lower left:
On the following screen click on the Interface drop-down menu and choose VPN:Cisco Vpn Download
Click on the VPN Type menu and choose Cisco IPSec:
Give your new VPN connection a label in the Service Name text field (1) (this can be any name you choose) and click Create (2):
Back on the main Network screen, click on your new VPN name in the list on the left side. Enter your VPN server’s IP address, your username (Account Name), and password:
